Facilities include:-
130-seat theatre
The YAC theatre is a ‘black box’ rectangle with original Victorian pine floor sanded and polished to a professional standard, with either mirrored walls for rehearsals or black curtains for performances. The YAC theatre also has a brand new lighting system that will enhance any performance, overhead projector onto a white wall or screen and professional theatre sound system with either hand held or head set microphones. . With access to side flats that can be painted to any design and a skilled team of sound and lighting technicians and their apprentices, plus artists and designers, the YAC theatre can be used as an open space with flexible seating and tables or with the 130 retractable theatre seating.
Fees are very reasonable compared with other local venues.
Please note that sound and lighting will be run by 15 year old trainees who will do their very best but may sometimes make the odd mistake (but then – don’t we all ?)
